Objectives:
Syngenta Seeds were exhibiting at a trade show for Wyevale Garden Centres. They have a fairy character (Lizzie) that represents their brand and wanted to replicate this with a live costume character at the show. The main activity for the day would be to act in character as the fairy to attract attendees to the stand and, possibly, distribute some leaflets promoting the new product ‘Spellbound Trailing Impatiens’.
Overview:
We provided an extravert personality, whom as well as having acting experience, regularly work as a children’s entertainer, giving them a flair for sensitively interacting with the public. Lizzie was very proactive shaking hands, hugging people and jumping around a lot expressing the personality of the character through gestures and appropriate body language.
Results:
Lizzie created a massive impact stimulating lots of interest and all recipients were happy to accept a leaflet. Lizzie generated a positive reaction from everyone and was highly visible and quickly associated with Syngenta Seeds and Wyevale Garden Centre. Lizzie took the initiative to wander around the exhibition, getting people talking and wondering where she came from; she even got journalists and Kim Wilds onto the stand which was the main aim of this event.
