Demonstrating allows your target market the opportunity to have hands on experience of a product or service. The customer is able to try and test the product or service while the demonstrator explains the key features and benefits it provides. This interaction with customers personally helps both alleviate worries and answer customer queries as well as offering a means to obtain their feedback. Demonstrating can take place at various locations and has a proven track record of taking the risk out of buying a product for the first time; this reassurance can help encourage consumers to purchase the product or service that is being demonstrated.

Objectives:
To put together a promotional team who would actively demonstrate a new video game based on the film ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’. The objective was to create awareness and raise the profile of the product in a leisurely environment to an eager and excited target audience.
Overview:
The demonstration staff were fully trained in the use of the product and were briefed to act in character as Jack Sparrow the star of the computer game. The activity took place on Brighton Beach and this exciting and ‘on-theme’ approach enabled evaluation of the product adoption process.
Results:
The Jack Sparrow character is synonymous with the Pirates of the Caribbean movies and thus the choice to have the promoters dressed in a similar manner infused an immediate and recognisable association to the video game. It added a fun and interactive element to the promotion and created a talking point or the consumers in attendance. The professionalism of the demonstrators helped to create a exciting and fun environment whilst portraying a positive image of the brand.
