Objectives:
Thatcher’s Cider Company hold a biennial family open day and require entertainment to appeal to all ages; it goes without saying that face painting always goes down well at this sort of event both with children and their parents. They needed an activity that could cope with the unpredictable English climate and allow the fun to carry on whatever the weather.
Overview:
Entry to the Thatcher’s Open Day was free with donations on the day going to Weston Hospice. Our creative artists provided free painted faces for all visitors in line with the theme of the product e.g. apples, butterflies and trees, which maximised publicity through photo opportunities and pre-event advertising – turning heads for our clients benefit!
Results:
The open day attracted well over 1500 people to Myrtle Farm and Martin Thatcher said, “Once again we had a fantastic family atmosphere throughout the day, we’d like to thank everyone who joined us and helped us make the day such an enjoyable one.” Normally held every two years (biennially), the open day was such a success with a record number of visitors that Thatcher’s Cider Company decided to hold a similar event every year.
