Sampling provides the
opportunity to get your product into your consumer’s
hands, targeting the right consumer profile
to sample and sell the features and benefits
of your product or service too. Product sampling
can take place at various locations and has
a proven track record of taking the risk out
of buying a product for the first time, therefore
encouraging the consumer to purchase the product
or service.

Here
is a recent activity to enable you
to get a feel for our experience and
capabilities in this area: |
 |
|
 |
| Objectives: |
| Our
brief was to implement a sampling
activity that would allow the
customers at Marks & Spencer
stores to experience Walkers
Charnwood Bakery uncured range
of Pork Pies, educating them
on the traditional production
methods of the uncured range
and the benefits of this. |
| Overview: |
|
We implemented experienced sampling
staff to provide perfectly presented
samples and distribute information
leaflets, this face-to-face
approach enabled evaluation
of the product adoption process.
We supplied a mobile sampling
unit to obtain maximum reach
together with the equipment
and staff training required
to sample the product effectively. |
| Results: |
| Stock
of the uncured Pork Pies sold
out in all of the stores where
the sampling activity took place
and there was an uplift in sales
of 200% throughout the stores.
Evaluations highlighted that
70% of the customers sampled,
changed from their existing
brand to one from the uncured
range. |
